I Love this Product! Add RAM before Using! Aug 30, 2010 More RAM is the key for usability/speed! Fast and reliable ... I even took out the 300 Gig drive and replaced with a 500 Gig drive. Well made and reliable.

Strong little guy after a year's use Aug 28, 2010 Now I certainly have forgotten to post a review about this netbook when I first got it back in April 2009. I honestly have to say that after a year and some months have passed on by, this little guy is still going on strong. I have dropped it about 2 times since I got it and it still works in perfect condition. No regrets on having this product. I feel bad for the those that have had bad luck with theirs, but I haven't had any issues with mine.

ASUS Eee 1000HE Netbook Aug 22, 2010 I read all the reviews and my decision came down between the ASUS and the Samsung. The ASUS was cheaper and had outstanding reviews. Mine, sad to say, arrived dead. Called ASUS and they said to return it to Amazon. Returned it without any problems and received a refund. Outstanding job from Amazon. A neighbor had an ASUS so I bought his for $250 and my wife is shipping to me in Iraq. I will find out how it is in a couple of weeks. I'd love to give it 5 stars for the idea of it being a wonderful netbook and all the reviews I've read.

The on that started it all Aug 08, 2010 I would give this baby 5 stars. i wont bore you into a long detailed review as there are plenty on here. But what I will do is tell you the ONLY problem you will run into this thing.
Buggy software for their wireless b/g card. It is on conflict with the asus eeepc software. Sometime you have to restart it to get it to run. Otherwise the best netbook of its time.

It Broke and Horrible Customer Service Aug 05, 2010 I've had my 1000HE for about a year, and all of a sudden the whole thing breaks down. First the charger melts, then the computer doesnt turn on for a period of 3 weeks, then spontaneously it turns on. Now that it works again, I noticed that the "c" and "." keys dont work. Then I tried connecting it to a monitor, and sparks flew from the vga port to the cable, and obviously the vga port doesnt work.
Through all this, I was talking with the most unhelpful Asus customer service representatives. I know I didnt invest my lifes savings in this computer, but I still expect some level of service. I am certain I wont buy an Asus again!
