Description
The Drinkwell® Premium Filters feature six compartments of charcoal! This evenly distributes the charcoal for a longer lasting, deeper water filtration. More charcoal is added to each compartment to maximize water filtration. This filter will work with ANY Drinkwell® Fountain (except the Drinkwell® 360) and should be changed every 2-4 weeks to maintain water freshness. There are three filters per package.

wrong ones sent? Aug 14, 2010 I know this is not a review of the merchant but wanted to alert that I rec'd the regular not premium filters. Since this is because Amazon had affixed the wrong barcode to the package I assume this could happen to others. Rather than exchange them I asked amazon to credit me the price difference which is not a standard return choice and they did so promptly! The standard filters are good but I was looking forward to trying the premium since they seem to get icky fast. I have 2 big dogs (1 slobbery!) using the big dog fountain so this filter gets put to the test. I clean the whole fountain weekly and the standard filter lasted ~1mo before it got to the point that cleaning it did not get rig of icky smell. When I did not have clean filters handy I left it out (instructions say it can be used without a filter just fine) and noticed the water got nasty mid-week.
I know this is not a review of these filters but figured it might be helpful. I chose the number of stars that was currently the average rating so as not to skew things. Next order in a few months and I will update this if I am still using the fountain,
Works perfect as long as I don't get REALLY LAZY Aug 10, 2010 I have not had 1 problem with these filters as long as I use them as the instructions say. Pre-Rinse, insert properly, and clean entire fountain weekly. The only time I have ever seen "SLIME" on these filters is when I didn't clean the fountain for 4 weeks. I even went 2 months without changing the filter 1 time and didn't see slime because I was cleaning the fountain weekly. Use the product as the manual says and you should not have any problems at all.
Filters Aug 02, 2010 Filters were exactly the right ones for the drinkwell water fountain. No problems...just leave a lot of carbon when first used...recommend rinsing once before putting them in to reduce how much there is...
Drink Well filter cartridges Jul 21, 2010 Product received in good condition as advertised. Our kitty loved the fresh, running water.
not sewn Jul 16, 2010 in several of the packages of filters I've bought one of the filters was not sewn all the way around and the charcoal spilled out and I could not use the filter because the charcoal would have spilled into the water in the fountain. I didn't return filters because filters are not available in my area and I have to order them and I would have to mail them back each time.
