5Amazing  Aug 08, 2010
As another reviewer has stated, Amazon editorialist Steven Mirkin is way off the mark. Disc 2 (Side 2) is an amazing album within itself. Michael's song writing was stronger than ever during this period and he's absolutely at the very top of his game.. I totally recommend this album for any pop music fan.. essential and will most definitely go down in history!

2Michael Jackson CD Collection  Jul 22, 2010
The shipment was very fast, however, the product (first CD, track#10) was defected as it skips beats for about 1-2 minutes.

I work long hours and commute long time, and I had to fly over to another State for vacation, so I didn't bother to exchange the CD.

I always love Michael Jackson songs, so if track#10 did not skip, I would have given 5 stars for sure.

The collection itself is all famous, easy to listen to and upbeat songs.

Thank you.

Good. Arrived in timely manner and was in excellent conditon.

4Great new songs, bad marketing  Apr 23, 2010
So basically I agree with most people, there are already so many Michael Jackson collections with more songs to offer, and I feel this was just a last minute decesion to cash in on some extra money including these new songs with a collection disc one. I feel they are missing many songs like Smooth Criminal, Leave me Alone, P.Y.T., that could have easily been included on a second disc, and they could have released a separate album for the new songs on disc two for cheaper. Aside from this, disc two offers pretty high quality song and the deeper meanings behind many of these have a lot of feeling behind them, like the Earth song is about people harming the environment and the pain nature goes through becuase of carelessness, They really don't care about us is about the governments of impoverished countries ignoring its people and letting them starve and keeping them under strict control, and History is a nice mix with historical radio/T.V. broadcastings included. This album doesn't offer anything groundbreaking like Thriller or Bad, but it does a nice job and I feel this album does better than Dangerous at returning more to Michael Jackson's original pop roots than trying to modernize. Some of these songs offer really nice beats, as well as have a lot of feeling put into them, which makes it worth checking out. If you are a big fan, you probably will already have all the albums for the first disc songs, so you might just want to rent this and download the second disc on your computer. Again, it might not be anything revolutionary but it does a fine job, and offers a lot more songs than his typical albums.
