Horrible Jun 24, 2010 I was really loving the House of Night series until this book, this one was HORRIBLE. It was nothing more than pure filler, the story didn't go anywhere, the characters didn't grow in anyway - it ended exactly how it started. The Cast women must really want fan's money to create such a waste of space book. Big disappointment. Maybe P.C. Cast needs to kick her daughter off the the series, because Kristen sure as hell can not write. Here's hoping the next books redeem the series.
The Series! Jun 24, 2010 I received an email that said, "If you liked Twilight, you'll definitely like this." I was a huge fan of Twilight and it actually got me back into reading for leisure. I bought the first four books of the set about 6 months ago. They collected dust for about 5 months because I was sure it couldn't pull me in like Twilight had. I was definitely wrong. Once I cracked open the first book of the series, Marked, I couldn't put it down. By the end of the weekend I had all 4 books read and I had ordered books 5-7. I had those read within 2 days of receiving them. The story line is amazing and reads very well. It kept me on the edge of the couch constantly and it took all I had not to try and skip ahead to see how things worked out. There is suspense, intrigue, romance, you name it! Dying to read book 8 and hoping they release it sooner!
