A nice Thomas addition Jul 18, 2010 My 3 year old grandson is a Thomas fanatic. He has so many engines that I thought something different would be a nice addition. He seemed pleased with my purchase. As with the other reviews, I also think it would have been a good idea to put the magnets on both the front and the back. The product description just says there are magnets, but does not say there are none on the front of the trucks. They can't even connect to each other using the magnets. They may not be meant to be trains, but I think every child in the age group these are intended for will try to put them on the tracks. I know my grandson did!

great looking toy, bad design leads to leaking Jul 10, 2010 We ordered this for my son's 3rd b-day. When we received it, we could see there was blue fluid that had leaked out inside the packaging. Called Amazon, and they shipped another one out ASAP. Received that shipment next day; however, it had same the problem as the first one. Evidently, Learning Curve did not design and/or construct these properly.
A good addition to the Thomas Line Jul 07, 2010 My son plays with these daily. They are lacking front magnets, but they do have rear ones. He loves that the ladder goes up and down can slide the "Water" up and down on the water tank one.

Thomas Fire Engine set Dec 29, 2008 This is a nice solid set of Thomas pieces. The only think I would have liked is for the pieces to have magnets on the front and back so they could be added into a train like other train cars. I know that they aren't supposed to be train cars but my 2 year old doesn't so he likes these less.
