Never Going Back Sep 08, 2010 I have two cats and two litter boxes and just recently upgraded both to the Breeze boxes. I read a lot of reviews on here before buying the first Breeze box, and was a little skeptical about all the five star reviews. But now I've traded in both old litter boxes and don't ever intend on going back! A lot of people complain about the poop smell. I live in a small house and can always tell when someone poops. But you scoop it, toss it, and the smell goes away. One good thing about smelling the poo, at least for me, is that I keep the boxes so much cleaner than when I had clay litter. As soon as there's poop I take it out. Easy and clean. I haven't figured out a schedule yet, but so far I trade out the pee pad about once a week. When you take the drawer out it does smell like pee, but again, toss it and the smell disappears, and I can't smell it until I open the little drawer.
I didn't buy it for an odor free litter box, because I really don't believe one will ever exist. Look at what you're dealing with! Unless they find a way to make it come out of the cat odor free, the box is gonna smell a little. I got it because I absolutely hate clay litter. Our house is completely tile and I can now walk through the rooms with litter boxes and not feel like I'm walking on the beach with all the litter under foot. Every time my cats use the box they throw litter everywhere and it's impossible to keep up with. Now I just throw the little pellets back in the box or vacuum them up. So easy and no more litter on my bare feet! Also, the pee pad is infinitely better than trying to "scoop" out pee clumps that are either cemented to the walls of the box, or crumble as soon as you try to scoop them. And I'm no longer dreading washing out the box, because I know how easy it's going to be.
Transitioning the cats was a little tricky. I set up the box the day I brought it home and set it next to the old box. I'm a little impatient and didn't feel like waiting to put the box out. I put some pellets in the old box and let the cats investigate. After a few days I coaxed them to step into the new box with treats - so they knew it was a good place. After a couple more days one of them finally peed in it so I stopped cleaning the old box. I pulled out the drawer of the Breeze and let both cats smell the pee pad so they could recognize it's their scent. Not cleaning the old litter box was awful on my husband and I, but after a very smelly week there was finally poop in the new box. I threw the old box out and never looked back! I don't know that the cats necessarily like the new box, but they use it and that's all that matters to me!
Lastly I would like to note that one of my cats has put many pellets in his mouth and crunched on them. When I see him doing that I obviously discourage it, but he could very well be eating them when I'm not around. He's still alive and has shown no adverse effects.
I love this litter box so much I bought two, and would highly recommend it to anyone with a cat! Just be patient during the transition. Cats are creatures of habit so it's hard for them to switch. But once they do you'll be glad you made the change.
A step up from traditional litter Sep 07, 2010 I dont mind cleaning a litter box for my cat. I was doing it every day to every other day, so it was always pretty easy to do. The only thing is, no matter what you will get litter outside the box and it will go everywhere if your box is on a solid floor. If its on carpet you wont notice it, but guess what, its still there! This is one huge advantage of this system. There is no litter spreading all over your floors! I dont step on litter when i get out of the shower anymore.
Another thing i hate about traditional litter is that you cant flush anything unless you buy the special litter that flushes... This always sucked having to bag up cat poop and pee to throw away. And you cant just throw it in the kitchen garbage can, you have to double bag it and put in the garage so it doesnt smell up the house while you wait till trash day. With tidy cats breeze, this problem is also solved. There are no more pee clumps to throw away, only a pee pad and that is once a week. So, every week the day before the garbage runs just throw the pad away while you are getting your garbage ready. Also, you have the option of flushing the poop since its not stuck with pee clumps. I usually only flush if i pick it up and the pellets fall off, otherwise its probably safer to throw away. The poop can be thrown away in the garbage without worry of it stinking up the place since it dries out without the company of peed litter clumps.
Tidy cats breeze does work and it works great. I highly recommend it. Ive not had a problem with smell. I keep the litter box in the bathroom, and when she does poop its pretty much the same as if a human went in and pooped. The pee has no smell.
I feed my cat mostly dry food, so she does poop solid most of the time. I do treat her with a can of wet food like once a week tho, but i usually mix it up with some dry so she doesnt have a messed up stomach afterwards. Also, poop smell depends on what type of food your cat eats. Ive tried 3-4 different names of food and found out that 9lives is the least smelliest for my cat.

BEST LITTER SYSTEM EVER Sep 04, 2010 I have 3 male cats including one 30 pounder. I was really tired of loading 30 pound containers of litter into my SUV and then taking garbage bags full of used litter out to the trash. My first transition was to the Pine pellets and a litter box similar to the Breeze. No matter how clean I kept the boxes, there was always an offensive odor. Then a friend discovered the Breeze. I started with one Breeze box and left my existing boxes in use. The cats urinated in the Breeze box, but no poop. Slowly and gradually they began to poop in the Breeze box. I added a second Breeze box and still left the existing boxes. Finally I added a third Breeze. Then, one by one, I began removing the original boxes one at a time over a several week period. It was a flawless transition. I never have any pee on the floor as others have mentioned. Each morning I scoop out the poop and flush it down the toilet. I change the pads every seven to ten days. I don't have litter tracked all over the house. I don't have litter in my bed. There is absolutely NO smell in the second bedroom where I keep the 3 Breeze boxes. All of my friends who purchased Breeze boxes are equally thrilled. It's the only way to go.
Excellent Sep 03, 2010 As long as they don't sit in the tray too long, these are great at odor control and easy to clean up.

It works Aug 31, 2010 I use the tidy box system but I put in reline pine pellets and it works great. No smell and when they pee it just all goes down to the tray which I add a little baking soda no smells. We change the tray every morning and with 3 cats I can't believe how well it works for us and is cost effective.
