Not My Cup of Joe Feb 27, 2010 I was disappointed in this blend, it's not that's it's too strong, it just doesn't have a good flavor. I'm a Starbucks drinker, but this just isn't my kind of Joe. It's too murky, I'll never finish it.Van Houtte Eclipse is the K-Cup Gold Standard or me, Deep, Dark, and Rich. I have ordered and enjoy the Timothy's Rain Forest Blend.
What's all the buzz about? Feb 20, 2010 Well, if you like strong, bold, coffee, drink this and you will know what all the buzzzz is about. This is a great cup of coffee....if you like it strong!
Conflicted about how to rate this!! Read before ordering! Feb 20, 2010 Here is my dual rating based on 2 different shipments:
5 Stars - 1st shipment - The best, strongest, most delicious coffee! My go-to coffee when I want extra bold with a great flavor. Full-bodied and robust, it is strong enough to brew on the largest setting, and then tweak another brew on the smallest setting. Absolutely love it!
(These k-cups had solid dark blue tops. This, apparently, is important. Read on.)
1 Star - 2nd shipment - NOT THE SAME COFFEE AT ALL!! When I brew it on the largest setting, it is NOWHERE NEAR as strong as the last shipment. It is totally average, not full-bodied, and the flavor is weak and on the bitter side. Forget about tweaking another brew - I can't even get 1 large brew with this k-cup! WHAT GIVES??? I am so disappointed because I thought I had found my perfect coffee, but it is not reliable. As much as I adored the first shipment, I am now afraid to ever order it again!
(The k-cups this time had the dark blue tops with a RED border, which is different from the first shipment. They both said Midnight Magic, Extra Bold on them. I don't know if this detail has anything or everything to do with the strength, but BEWARE!)
Timothy's Midnight Magic Decaf Feb 13, 2010 Timothy's World Coffee, Midnight Magic, Extra Bold, K-Cups for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 2) I had read all the reviews on k-cup decaf coffee and Timothy's Midnight Magic had one of the best overall reviews for a strong, robust & not bitter tasting cup of coffee & I gave it a try. I have to say being from New Orleans I LOVE a strong cup of coffee can't stand any bitter aftertaste - and I will tell you fellow "coffee lovers" it did have a little bite to it. If you have been to New Orleans you probably are familiar with coffee and chickory coffee which is very strong but not bitter tasting - I will have to say Timothy's Midnight Magic Decaf is very strong for a decaf & very rich & dark but have come to really like it and will re-order it again. I believe if you give it a try you will not be disappointed in the strong rich flavor. Also put your water setting on the largest setting of water & even if you normally drink it black add some half & half. I believe you will really enjoy this coffee. I gave it 4 stars out of 5 - but it really deserves a 4.5 out of 5. ENJOY!
I call it morning magic Feb 11, 2010 Search no more for a really great K cup style bold coffee. The folks at Timothy's place are working overtime on this one.
